How compatibility works

Speech Anywhere works by simulating keyboard input. It effectively types transcribed text at the position of your cursor. Because it does not require a specific integration or plugin within each target application, it is compatible with virtually any application that accepts text input on a Windows desktop.

Compatible applications include (but are not limited to)

Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Teams, web browsers (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, etc.), electronic health record (EHR) and clinical systems, case management and legal software, local authority and insurance platforms, email clients, online forms, and any other text based desktop application.

Specially designed commands

Speech Anywhere includes commands specifically optimised for Microsoft Word and Outlook, enabling users to perform formatting, navigation, and editing actions by voice within these applications.

Applications that may not work

Applications that use non standard text input methods, heavily restricted or locked input fields, or virtual desktop environments with specific input handling may occasionally experience compatibility issues. If you encounter a problem with a specific application, contact Dictalogic support.
