Can I use Speech Anywhere in conversation mode (e.g., during meetings)?
Overview
This article explains whether Speech Anywhere can be used to transcribe conversations or meetings.
Applies to
All Users
Speech Anywhere is designed for single speaker dictation
The Speech Anywhere Widget is optimised for single user, single speaker dictation. It is intended for use by one person dictating directly into a microphone to create or populate documents and correspondence. It is not designed for multi speaker conversation transcription.
For meeting and conversation transcription
Dictalogic offers a separate Conversation to Text module, which is specifically designed for transcribing multi-speaker conversations, meetings, interviews, and discussions. This module handles the complexities of multiple voices, turn-taking, and background audio that are not suited to the Speech Anywhere Widget.
Summary
Use Speech Anywhere for personal, single-speaker dictation into desktop applications. Use Dictalogic’s Conversation to Text module for meeting transcription and multi-speaker scenarios. Contact Dictalogic to confirm which modules are enabled on your account.
