Why queue time matters
Monitoring how long tasks spend in the queue, particularly in the “Awaiting Secretary” status, helps administrators identify bottlenecks, manage capacity, and ensure service level targets are being met. A task that has been waiting in the pool for an extended period may indicate insufficient secretarial resources, a misconfigured assignment rule, or a capacity issue in a particular department.
Viewing queue age on the dashboard
The Dictalogic dashboard displays the date and time a dictation was submitted. Authors and administrators can see at a glance when each task was created and compare this against the current status to assess how long it has been in the queue.
