What is offline mode?
Offline mode allows you to record dictations on your mobile device even when you do not have an active internet connection for example, when working in a location with no Wi-Fi or mobile data signal. Dictations are saved securely on your device and automatically uploaded to the Dictalogic platform once a connection is restored.
How to Dictate Offline
Offline mode is automatic no manual configuration is required. If the app detects that there is no internet connection, it will store your dictation locally on the device. You will see an indicator in the app confirming that the dictation is saved locally and pending upload.
Syncing when back online
When your device reconnects to the internet (via Wi-Fi or mobile data), the Dictalogic app will automatically detect the pending dictation and upload it to the platform. You do not need to take any action the sync happens in the background.
Important notes
Ensure you do not uninstall the app or clear the app’s local storage before offline dictations have been uploaded, as locally stored dictations may be lost if the app data is cleared. Keep your device charged to avoid losing unsaved dictations. Offline mode is available on both iOS and Android.
