Step 2: Review dictation details

Before you begin, review any notes or instructions left by the author, the work type or description, and the priority level.

Step 3: Begin playback and typing

Use the audio player controls or your foot pedal to begin playback. As you listen, type the spoken content into the transcription text editor. Use your foot pedal to pause, rewind, and resume playback as needed to keep pace with the audio.

Step 4: Adjust playback speed

Use the playback speed control to slow down or speed up the audio as needed.

Step 5: Use Custom Shortcuts

If your account has custom text shortcuts or templates configured, use these to insert frequently used phrases efficiently, reducing typing time.

Step 6: Review and proofread

Once you have typed the full dictation, review the transcript against the audio to check for accuracy. Correct any errors before completing the job.

Step 7: Mark as complete

When satisfied with the transcript, mark the dictation as Complete. The author will be notified and the dictation will move to the Completed status.
