Reviewing the transcribed text

Once a Custom Speech (Audio to Text) dictation has been processed, the transcribed text appears in the dictation alongside the original audio recording. Open the completed dictation from your dashboard to review the output.

Correcting errors manually

Within the dictation editor, click on any part of the transcribed text to position your cursor and make corrections. Use standard text editing techniques delete, backspace, and retype to correct any misrecognized words or phrases. You can play back the audio simultaneously to compare the spoken content with the transcription as you work through it.

Using find and replace

If the same error appears multiple times throughout the transcript, a find and replace function may be available within the editor. This allows you to correct a recurring error throughout the entire document in one action.

Adding replacements to prevent future errors

If you notice the same term being misrecognized consistently, add it as a Speech-to-Text Replacement so that future dictations handle it correctly automatically.

Marking as complete

Once you have reviewed and corrected the transcript, mark the dictation as complete in the workflow so it proceeds to the next stage.
