What audio formats does Dictalogic support?

This article lists the audio file formats supported for upload and playback within the Dictalogic platform.

Supported upload formats

Dictalogic supports a range of commonly used audio formats for dictation upload, including DS2 MP3, WAV, OGG, M4A, AAC and DSS

 Supported video formats (for Conversation to Text)

For the Conversation to Text module, video file formats including MP4 are also supported

Recommended format

WAV is the recommended format for the highest quality dictation, particularly for speech-to-text processing. If storage or bandwidth is a concern, high-bitrate MP3 (192kbps or above) is a suitable alternative.

Unsupported formats

If you have a recording in a format not listed above, it can be converted to a supported format using free tools such as Audacity before uploading. Contact Dictalogic support if you are unsure whether a specific format is supported.
