Built-in microphones are more susceptible to background noise and generally produce lower accuracy. Dictalogic supports up to 99.99% of USB-enabled speech microphones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Connecting your microphone<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Connect your USB microphone to an available USB port on your computer. Windows should automatically detect the device and install any required drivers. If your microphone uses a 3.5mm jack, connect it to the microphone input on your computer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Selecting the microphone in Dictalogic<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>For the web portal: within your account settings or recording preferences, select your microphone from the audio input device list. For the Speech Anywhere Widget: open the widget settings and select your microphone from the input device dropdown. For the mobile app: the app uses your device&#8217;s built-in microphone by default. Bluetooth or wired headset microphones connected to your mobile device may also be used.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Testing Your Microphone<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Use the microphone test function within your settings to confirm the device is picking up your voice clearly. Check that the input level meter responds when you speak.
