What’s the difference between Task Management and Speech to Text?

Task Management

Task Management is the workflow and delegation layer of the Dictalogic platform. It governs how dictation jobs move through an organisation that creates them, who receives them, how they are tracked, and how they are completed and delivered. Task Management operates regardless of whether transcription is performed by a human. It is the system of assignment, queuing, status tracking, notification, and reporting that wraps around the transcription process.

Speech to Text (Custom Speech / Audio to Text)

Speech to Text is the AI transcription technology that converts audio recordings into written text. It is powered by Microsoft Azure Cognitive Speech Services and can transcribe a dictation automatically without any human involvement. When a task is assigned to the Custom Speech or Audio to Text engine, the AI processes the audio and returns the transcribed text to the workflow for review.
